We all know these frustrations… They’ve happened daily with me and with many logins. It’s the same for every person living with a brain injury. Do not fear though I’m here to help! I recently started using a password manager and it is a life saver.

What is this life saver you ask? 1Password. It’s both a phone app and a computer program that remembers your passwords as well as your logins, generates secure passwords for you, keeps secure notes safe (bank information for example) This guy explains it better:

All you have to do is pick one password for your login to this program/app and the rest is history. I’ve been using it for about four months now (I think… I honestly can’t remember, ha) and having to remember only one password I know I’ll never forget has made my life so much easier, simpler and calmer. I no longer get stressed, confused, lose written down passwords or write passwords down incorrectly and most of all? I love how secure it is.

You get a thirty day free trail with 1Password and it’s $2.99 (or $4.99 for up to five members of your family) a month from then on but trust me, it is so worth it.

There are other password managers out there that are free but 1Password is the simplest one to use. I’ve tried LastPass before and that’s free but I felt it was too complicated to use and it doesn’t do the one click login for websites like 1Password does.

If you don’t want to pay for 1Password just google ‘password manager’ and you’ll find lots of others. This isn’t an ad, I just wanted to share with you my personal experiences of using 1Password and because passwords are such a large part of our lives now you need something you can trust, and reading something personal like this gives you that little bit of extra security.

Do you use anything other than 1Password of Lastpass? Let me know in the comments below!
